It is highly possible that an average person can start earning income from Forex trading right from his home. But it needs some time in preparation. So I think aside from those you have listed, below are the actions I have done that changed my early days from state of “losing money” into a “profitable” one, right in my home:

Step 1.) Understand the theory, principles and concept of forex trading and trading as an overall. Lot of resources in the internet, I take down notes and I actively participated in the forums.

Step 2.) Based on my understanding of trading systems, I formulate system, back test it thoroughly.

Step 3.) When the back test results came out positive, I paper trade it.

Step 4.) When paper trading of my formulated system came out profitable, I then went to real trading using real money.

Step 5.) Since everything has been prepared in those previous steps, I have similar results to both paper and real trading.

The most important concept to a winning trade system is understanding “trading expectancy” and “money management”, crucial if you trade alone and treating it as a home based business.

I totally agree with what this post is talking about especially the part where you say that forex trading education should not be rush and every trader wannabes must some time to learn the rope before putting in their hard earned money.

I have my capital wiped out twice when I first started trading forex a few years ago because I thought that currency trading is a 50-50 games.

It was until I decided to spend time to really study and learn how to trade, I am able to make enough money to allow me to trade currency full time today and quit my engineering job.

Forex trading is a good home based business as you can start off doing part time and then slowly improve your skill and eventually quit your day job when you are able to generate income to replace your salary.
